January’s Tennis & Pickleball News

Tennis & Pickleball News

Happy 2021! Looking Back – Looking Forward

2020 has been a challenging year for many which makes it all the more important to take care of our health and well being. I hope you are taking time for YOU! Looking back at this year, in spite of many challenges, we were able to develop a great quality tennis program, grow our membership and most importantly bring the community together and have lots of fun. Tennis socials, tournaments, clinics, interclub matches; there was a great deal of tennis and social activity here at the Club. Our members and many guests have participated in various leagues throughout the year, and our drills, cardio and pickleball continue to be very popular. We introduced Grand Slam and UTR tournaments this year which was a booming success. I want to thank all the members that make Hidden Trails a special club to be a part of and to our staff that go above and beyond to organize and arrange leagues, socials and various tennis and pickleball events. A big thank you also goes out to all the parents of our junior players, for getting them to and from our practices, tournaments and matches.

New Year, New Programs & New Look for our Facility

We have big plans for 2021. In addition to our current programming, we are introducing new and exciting league ladder play for both pickleball and tennis. You can read more about it below in the programming section.

We have had many improvements done this year – we resurfaced outside courts, installed brand new lights and purchased new furniture for our facility. We plan to undergo several projects to further improve the look of the Tennis Facility. Specifically, we are working on solutions for our lounge area floor; currently we have carpet there that is not in the best shape. We also need new green tarps that surround our indoor courts and we hope to give our lounge area a fresh look with new paint. Having said that, we will put together a Fundraiser in February that would help us with this effort. If you would like to be involved and help us in any way please reach out to me.

With 2021 knocking on the door, Hidden Trails Country Club will stay committed to bringing you the best in tennis, pickleball and events. Let’s bring in the New Year with focus on kindness and gratitude for all we have.

Best wishes,

Elizabeta Babb
Tennis Center Director
