Trails Mix: August- see what’s new!

A big thank you to all who played in the Member Guest July 23-26th!  It was a huge success as we had a record 110 men engage in battle on a beautiful golf course for 4 days with A Flight Winners Justin Nard and Cameron VanEtten emerging as the Champions Shootout Winners as well.

We appreciate all who sponsored the event and you can see them displayed in the Ring of Honor in the Men’s Locker Room all year long.  All shop credit has been entered and all winning $s can be picked up behind the counter in the Pro Shop.

Tennis News from Hidden Trails!

Dear members,

We are so excited and grateful that Hidden Trails Country Club was able to invest in the outdoor courts. We can proudly say we have beautiful outdoor courts now. If you get a chance come and try them out. We are continuing our efforts to raise the money in order to be able to further update and improve our tennis facilities. We need a new fence for the courts which is another expensive project so we greatly appreciate each and every one of you that shows us support.

August Events

Hidden Trails Grand Slam Tournament
August 8th 

Time: 8 – 5pm

Tournament fee: $20

This tournament will be an exciting but simple combination of World Team Tennis and USTA league rules. The matches will be fast-paced and fun. Get your racquets freshly strung!

There will be four levels of play: NTRP 3.0, 3.5, 4.0, and 4.5+.. Each team will play in one flight. Each team must have a minimum of four players: two men and two women. A team may have a maximum of six players. Due to Covid-19 we will have masks at the front desk and will require everyone to wear them while in the lobby area. We will play indoor and outdoor.

 

Women’s Pickleball Tournament
August 15th | 8-2pm

Tournament fee: free for members, $10 non members

 

Serve and Return Clinic
August 29th

• ​8-9am (3.0 level) 
• 9-10am (3.5,4.0 level)

The goal of this clinic is to help you improve 2 most important shots of your game; your serves and returns.

12 and Under Tournament
August 29th | 1 PM

Tournament fee: $15  

Bring your kids to play in this fun round robin style tournament. Trophies and rewards will be given to winners. 

 

Ongoing adult groups:

• Cardio Tennis
  • Drop in group on Saturdays 9-10am
  • Cost: free for members, $15 non-members
• Intro To Tennis
  • Level: beginners, drop in class on Sundays 1.30-3pm 
  • Cost: $10 members, $15 non-members
• Intermediate Drill $ Play
  • Level: 3.0 & 3.5, drop in class on Wednesdays 10-noon.
  • 1 hour drill, 1 hour match play. 
  • Cost: $10 members, $15 non-members
• Advanced League | Level: 4.0+
  • Time: Wednesdays 6.30-8.30pm
  • Cost: $10 members, $15 non-members 

 

Junior Program

• High Performance Group: for kids 12 and above.
  • Practice times are Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays at 4-6pm. Once school starts the practice times will change. 
• Orange Ball group: weekly Thursday group (6.30-7.30pm) and weekly Saturday group that meets 1-2pm.
  • Age: 12 and under
  • Once per week cost: $15 members, $20 non-members
  • Twice per week cost: $10 members, $15 non-members
• Tiny Tots group: weekly Saturday group that meets 12-12.45pm
  • Age: 3 & 4 year olds
  • Cost: $10 members, $15 non-members
• Little Champs:  weekly Saturday group that meets 12-12.45pm
  • Age: 5 & 6 year olds
  • Cost: $10 members, $15 non-members
