Join us for golf, green beer & the luck o’ the Irish at our St. Paddy’s Golf Shamble! 

Entry includes golf as well as Hidden Trails’ famous gourmet hot dog buffet following play.

 

Rules for Play

4-person team, 2 Teams per Tee Box (no handicap but flighted).

Everyone tees off, selects the best shot, then everybody plays his/her own ball until holed. The best 2 scores are taken on each hole (write gross scores by names, total low 2 scores at bottom of the card).

Green Shirt or Pants to Advance.

Those who wear green pants or shirts (and meet dress code), shall tee off on forward tees (1 set forward, ex. Blue to White, etc.). Ladies will have special advanced tees 15 yards closer. Tee Off on the Tees You Normally Play (Group Governed) Unless Wearing Green (1 up)

Luck of the Irish Ball

Each team will be given a ball with a green clover. For each hole, one person in the group must use that ball from tee to green. That same ball will travel from person to person and rotate every hole. So you will play with that ball every three holes. If you return with that ball after 18 holes, you will get to trade a par for your 4 worse individual scores (if it goes OB or in the creek it is gone, you cannot retrieve it).

Flighted depending on number of participants. Pay out in gift certificates.

Raffle

We will hold a raffle for a wedge of your choice – Titleist, Callaway, TaylorMade, or Cleveland. $1 each ticket. Buy as many as you wish. Proceeds, if any, will go to Junior Golf.

Jackpot

$10 per Ticket. Hit the green and go into the pot. A winner will be drawn after the round to receive 75% of the funds in Pro Shop credit. 25% goes to closest to the pin in pro shop credit.

Tennis & Pickleball News 

February is here. As always, we have a lot planned for you. I would like to invite all of our tennis members to consider joining teams for the upcoming USTA Spring season. After last year’s team play, we expect to field teams in all USTA levels for both men and women. Some of our players are being recruited by other squads so we need to start getting commitments now. If you are available to play and want to have fun being part of the team, then give us a call and we will find a team for you. We are here to serve you, and want to make your experience at Hidden Trails Country Club a positive one. Thank you for doing your part to maintain a friendly, respectful atmosphere at our Club.

“Best of the Best” – Advanced Pickleball Play

Hidden Trails is bringing high caliber pickleball players for some fun competitive play every first Saturday of the month. If you are a 4.0+ player, please reach out to coach Jenny Marcos and she will put you on the list. You must be on the list in order to participate, no drop ins.

Cost: $15/person

Time: Saturday, February 6th at 4 – 8pm

“I Love Pickleball” Valentines Party

Come join us for a celebration of love and friendship on Tuesday, February 9th at 7pm. The whole facility (12 Pickleball Courts) will be reserved for YOU!

Special dessert: Famous International Kahlua Brownies will be served. You don’t want to miss out!

Entry Fee: $7 (includes the dessert)

No registration required, just show up and play as long as you want.

Only at Hidden Trails, join us for a fun and exciting doubles match play. We will do men, women and mixed division. How does it work? You challenge other players on the ladder and work up the ladder in effort to get to 1st place. The winners of the ladder will win a surprise gift.

You will get some great match experience and matches are UTR verified

You get to play on your own schedule, choose a time that works best for you

You get to meet and connect with new players that are your level

FORMAT OF PLAY

Best 2 out of 3 sets. At 1 all in sets you will play a 10 point super tiebreak.

SCORESHEETS

A ladder will be created and you will receive a link that will show all the player names/phone numbers and their rank. When players win a match against somebody above them – they switch places on the ladder.

 

ORDER OF PLAY

This is a 6 week long ladder play. Start day is Monday, February 22nd, end date is Monday, April 5th . Players must stay with the same partner for the duration of the ladder play. Players organize with other players to play matches in their own time. Players can challenge other players a maximum of 3 places above them. There is a 3 day time limit once you get challenged. If the match is not played out in 3 days, the challenger will take your spot unless its due to no court availability.

 

Entry Fee: $50 members, $75 nonmembers.

Ongoing Adult Tennis Program

ADULT LEAGUES

Leagues are prepaid with no drop-ins.

Duration: 6 weeks

Time:  Evenings at 6:30-8:30pm and Sundays at 3-5pm

Cost: Members $50, Non-members $85

Mondays – Men league (level 2.5-3.5)

Thursdays – Mixed (level 3.5/4.0)

Fridays –  Mixed (level 2.5-3.5)

Sundays – Women (3.5/4.0)

GHIN Fees

GHIN Annual Fee of $25 will be billed to active GHIN members on February 1st and will be good for the 2021 calendar year.

Any USGA Handicap Index issued through a Golf Association by a golf club is designed to allow golfers of differing abilities to compete on an equitable basis and thereby increasing the enjoyment they derive from a round of golf. A Handicap Index is revised throughout the golf season and is based on golfers’ scores, as well as the relative difficulty of the courses on which their rounds are played.

Super Bowl Scramble- Date Change

Wednesday, February 3 | 12 PM Shotgun Start
$30 for members | $50 for guests

Due to the weather forecast, we have moved the Super Bowl Scramble to this Wednesday, February 3rd. Text Wade at (405) 401-6227 if you are in/out, or partners have changed due to the move.

• Format: 3-person scramble , 6 to a box
• Tees: Male participants will tee off from the tees they normally play, or the handicap was established. Female participants will play from the red tees.
• Lie of Ball: All three team members will tee off on each hole. After the best shot is selected, the team may improve the lie of the ball one club length, no closer to the hole. If the selected ball is in a bunker, the first ball must be played as it lies and the remaining balls may be placed. Players may rake the bunker between shots.
• Other Rules: *14 club limit is in effect for all players.
• Flights: Flights will be established after all scores have been posted
• Pay-Out: Each winning team member & one closest to the pin winner will receive 1 square on the Super Bowl board and a chance to win $200 cash every time the score changes. Game Board Squares available at the bar.
• Tie Breaker: All ties to determine flights will be decided by a scorecard playoff beginning on the #1 handicap hole and going forward.
• Super Bowl Squares: are available for $100.
