Welcome our NEW Head Tennis Coach, Jenny Marcos!

I am very pleased to welcome a dear friend and outstanding coach Jenny Marcos to our team. She will serve as the Head Tennis Coach at Hidden Trails. Jenny is a certified USPTA tennis professional with more than 30 years of coaching experience. Hidden Trails is lucky to have a coach and player of her caliber on board.

Jenny Marcos is one of the most decorated tennis players in Central Oklahoma history. She was a standout singles and doubles player from the late 1980’s who earned all-American honors four times. Marcos was inducted into the Central Oklahoma Hall of Fame in 2007.

In her professional career Jenny served as the tennis director at Hidden Trails Country Club (at the time Willow Creek Country Club). Additionally, she has coached both women and men college tennis teams at Southwestern Christian University and is currently the head professional at Santa Fe Family Life Center.Jenny is also an excellent pickleball player. She was a National Champion for Singles 50 & over and 50 & over Mixed doubles.

Meet Our New Chef!

Chris Deschner is the new Executive Chef with Hidden Trails Country Club. In this role, Chris coordinates and leads a talented culinary team providing an excellent food and dining experience. Chris comes with over fifteen years of experience beginning his culinary career at the age of thirteen as a dishwasher, quickly moving up to become the Kitchen Manager of a popular local restaurant, while still in his Junior year of high school.

Chris spent six years at UCO as the Resident Dining Executive Chef and the Executive Catering Chef, before moving to The Gilcrease Museum in Tulsa, OK as the Executive Chef. Chris Specializes in Catering events and Restaurant operations and looks forward to his new home at Hidden Trails.

Chris and his wife Misty have two boys and two girls, they enjoy relaxing by the pool and camping every possible moment they can. Misty is also exceptionally talented in the kitchen and looks forward to helping on occasions.

Memorial Day Hours

Memorial Day Hours | Monday, 5/25

The Golf Course, Country Club, and the Tennis Center will be open from 8am -6pm. We will close at 6pm to allow our employees to spend time with their family and friends.

Play 18 holes, turn in scorecard to the Pro Shop, draw numbered cards representing a par 3-4-5 on the front and back totaling 6 cards, reverse the over/under par score for each drawn hole (up to 2 strokes).

Example-Bogey is a Birdie, Double is an Eagle, Par is a Par.

Low Score Wins. Scores must be turned in by 4pm

Are you ready for some pickleball? 

We are beginning a new phase of pickleball at Hidden Trails starting this week!  We will be hosting regularly scheduled play sessions open to anyone, member and nonmember.  The days and times of our group play are as follows:

                Tuesday session:    6:30pm – 9:00pm

                Saturday session 1: 9:00am – 11:00am

                Saturday session 2: 11:00am – 1:00pm

Feel free to play in any and all sessions you can handle.  If you are a member of Hidden Trails, these group play sessions are free for you.  If you are not a member of Hidden Trails, the fee is $5 per session.  Our group play sessions are organized where players will be able to play with other players.  Players are rotated in and out to ensure everyone gets enough play time.  Group play is a great way to meet other people and helps make this sport so great.

If you are new to pickleball we will have staff present to walk you through the sport, through hands on experience.  You will learn the rules of pickleball, how to keep score, how paddle stacks work, different styles of play, usapa, etc.   Players new to the sport get to play free their first time.

Junior Golf Program – Summer 2020

Tuesday, June 9 through Friday, June 12

10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

Ages 5-17: $100 per child

Includes 4-day golf clinic. Children ages 5-8 must have a parent or guardian present during clinic for safety reasons.

How will your children spend their summer?

Learning the game of golf and perfecting your skills at Hidden Trails Country Club is great summer fun!

Our PGA Golf Pro and coaches use golf as a way to help youth learn about setting goals, managing emotions, appreciating diversity, and more. The Junior Golf Program is designed for the beginner to intermediate junior golfer. The camp will focus on these areas of the game: Full Swing Fundamentals, Putting, Chipping, Pitching and Course Management, as well as sportsmanship and golf course etiquette. Parents may be required to accompany their child, depending on age.

Beginner or expert, you will still need to know the rules and understand golf etiquette to be successful at the game of golf. Each child will not only spend time on his or her golf game, but also on learning about the game of golf. Classes are limited to 30 kids per class. Classes will be arranged on a first come, first served basis.

Format:

Saturday: Best ball on front nine – 1 point. Modified Alternate Shot on back nine 1pt.

Sunday: Individual Match Play – 1 point. All matches will be based on handicap. Teams will be decided by splitting lowest handicap to highest. Pairings are decided by playing the closest handicap match up as possible.

Rules:

Lift clean and place within a grip length for all competition. Play from where your handicap was established. USGA rules will govern play. 1 point for win, 1/2 point for tie.

Join us each Thursday 5:30 for a fun 9 hole scramble.

It does not matter your skill level, you are welcome to join us!

We split teams up evenly each week and focus on fun and friendly competition.

Wade Walker will provide a free clinic to all ladies 4:30-5pm each week on the range and short game area.

You do not have to play to join us for the free clinic and vise versa.

Members $10/ Guests $20
