A big “thank you” to all our members—2019 was a great year and we’re looking forward to seeing what 2020 will bring. In 2020 we do hope you take the time to read your newsletter and emails in order to stay up to date with happenings within our country club.

Winter Policies
Winter Hours: 8am- Close.
Winter is upon us, and we would like to remind members of our playing policies and procedures during this time. The dress code is still enforced. You can wear jeans from October 1 to March 1, but collared shirts are still required, even if you have a jacket over it (Hoodies, as popular as they have become, are not allowed on the golf course or practice area).
Players will not be allowed on the course during frost or frozen conditions. Keep an eye on the weather app! When it gets above 32 degrees, you will be allowed to play assuming ice, snow or frost has melted. Allowing players to walk on greens or overseeded driving range during these times can cause damage to the grass blades and roots.
We will do our best to accommodate our members, but be aware of a few general guidelines that are followed by our staff during cold days – 32 degrees or below, or snow/ice-covered; Golf course is closed. Pro Shop, Tennis Center and Grill will likely remain open with limited hours. At 32-40 degrees, golf carts will be pulled as needed, and pins may or may not be placed on the golf course if the wind chill factor is still below 32. Players are welcome to play, even without pins as long as it is above freezing.
Questionable Weather

The Pro Shop will be staffed but may close early in the absence of golfers or there has been no indication that there will be any golfers for the rest of the day. We do this to be as efficient as possible with labor during the winter months. Watch for weather updates via text and emails.
If you plan on playing on a day when it would otherwise be considered “crazy”, please let us know so we can anticipate your arrival. If you plan on dropping by the Pro Shop after work to shop for merchandise on a cold day, it is recommended to make sure the shop will still be staffed at that time.

January is a month for us all to spend time together! Starting Friday, January 10, Hidden Trails will be offering Friday Night Buffets- we can’t wait to see you there!
The Soup and Salad Bar will open from 11am- 2pm January until warm weather.
New menus for the Grill and Dining will launch the first week of February!
Call ahead any evening and we will have your table ready for you. If no reservations the club will be closing when the last member leaves.

Virtual Golf
As always, the virtual golf located in the Tennis Center will be available during normal business hours all year long. You can play 10 courses or just work on your game on the virtual driving range. Bring your set of golf clubs.
Virtual golf is included with your golf membership free of charge. Guests can play for $10 per hour with an accompanied member. Please call Wade or the Pro Shop to inquire about availability.
Super Bowl Scramble
Sunday, February 2
$30 for members | $50 for guests
Hidden Trails is happy to announce our special Super Bowl Scramble Tournament.
- Format: 3-person scramble, 6 to a box
- Pay Out: Each winning team & one closest to pin winner will receive 1 square on the Super Bowl board and a chance to win $200 every time the score changes.
- Special Events: On hole #3 and #10, special games of skill opportunities will be set up to allow play from the forward tees for the winner. Games include passing and kicking events, judged by fellow flight members.
GHIN Fees
GHIN Annual Fee of $25 will be billed to active GHIN members on January 1st and will be good for the 2020 calendar year.

Any USGA Handicap Index issued through a Golf Association by a golf club is designed to allow golfers of differing abilities to compete on an equitable basis and thereby increasing the enjoyment they derive from a round of golf. A Handicap Index is revised throughout the golf season and is based on golfers’ scores, as well as the relative difficulty of the courses on which their rounds are played.
